Parent Support . . .
Communique provides the services of qualified interpreters to children in kindergarten through high school graduation. We are certified by the State of California as a non-public agency thus allowing school districts and other educational agencies to access our services in public and private school settings. For more information about how Communique can assist your child in better accessing his or her education, please contact Cris Eggers, our Executive Director, cris@cqterps.com

Some topics include discussions and workshops of how to participate effectively in your child's IEP (Individualized Education Plan - a meeting required by law to plan for children requiring special services), where to get low cost or free hearing aids in California, and who to contact for legal assistance.

Our store offers "Signing With Your Baby" a video/book package that shows step-by-step how to begin sign language communication at a very young age. Older children benefit from story telling. We have a series of videos "Read With Me" that model how to read popular books such as "Where the Wild Things Are" and "If You Give A Mouse A Cookie."
The Communique Interpreting Retail Store carries a variety of materials to enhance your communication with your Deaf child. One unique and useful item available for purchase is a full series of "Read With Me" stories signed into American Sign Language. We also carry rudimentary Sign Language books and a complete kit for "Signing with your baby." The retail store also offers a variety of resource materials pertinent to Deaf-related topics such as information regarding:
